Great article, thanks for posting.

I really didn't understand it. I took a pay cut, I felt forced into it. I really was kind of bitter, and then I go, 'I got to get out of this,'"recalled Davidson.

She clearly was not here for any kind of return to Days. We could say that she was bitter because of the pay cut and the manipulation but it also seems like she wanted no part of the switch in any way, shape, or form.

People were so amazing from the get go. Lovely, wonderful, warm people that are just trying to do a great show. No divas, great attitude, everybody's working together. They just welcomed me with open arms, including Deidre Hall [Marlena Evans]

 :blulaugh: That sounds like she was surprised that Deirdre was nice.

I took some time off and I did a small story arc on 'DAYS,' which I just wrapped up two weeks ago.

This taping schedule sucks. Her run is literally over before it starts.

My son is not a homersexual.

Love how she said that 2013 was the best year of her life because of Days. Loved how she revealed that she got to throw stuff on the set that she wasn't suppose to. I loved how she made fun of her dress.

I think the latest SOD poll speaks for itself:

All in all, this is great news!

I know it's not productive at all to dwell in the past but I still think what "Days" could have done to have Eileen long-term.

1. No paycut (she could have had a similar workload she was used to while being on Y&R)

2. A "lighter" direction for the character. I get, why it is more difficult to play an evil character on a long-term basis, to (constantly) have all those fights, confrontations and "hate" scenes. And sometimes even receive hatred from some crazy fans. And everyone on this earth wants to be loved LOL.
I think, they tried to show Kristen as a complex character having not only a dark side of the character (vengeance, scheming, lying), but also her insecurities and her soft loving side. I, really, wish that they would have explored more the reasons for some of her actions. It was possible and would have been interesting (for me).

It sounds so easy. SIGH :( :( :(

Thanks! I had to laugh when that guy kept calling Kristen crazy and then called Ashley boring & ED tried to correct him both times.

And I hadn't thought about it but she's right her dress sorta did look like Jiffy Pop, lol.

Also I'm glad she can do some time at Days with this contract, but it doesn't sound like she'll get extended time off, unless they can work it, "she's at Days Mon/Tues, YR Weds/Thurs/Fri"?

including Deidre Hall lol. I can easily imagine Deidre being quite a diva, especially back in the 90's. Would love to hear some juicy behind the scenes stories from those days :P

So her last week (taping) at 'Days' had to be June 2-6?

Of course, I love that her Y&R contract contains a clause that would permit her to come back to Days for brief (1- or 2-day visits) but I just don't see that really happening.

In one of her previous interviews Eileen said that she was asked (by someone at SONY) if she would be willing to do double-duty on Y&R and "Days" and she agreed.
The problem was that TPTB at Y&R didn't allow it. And that must have been the reason why SONY terminated her contract.

So now we kinda have the situation which corresponds to what was initially intended by SONY .

I think, we have to be thankful to Maria Arena Bell for the possibility to have had Eileen as Kristen for a year full-time.

I'm glad she'll be able to return for some brief episodes. Y&R will use her at first and then give her nothing after awhile. They always do.

The Days clause in her contract makes me happy, but I don't see Days ever taking advantage of it. Maybe for a little 2-3 day story around the 50th, but nothing else. They will blow it just like they blew the Koslow for Mascolo swap with B&B.

I doubt that, they know how popular Kristen is. Always a possibility that Sony could make YR let DOOL use her longer.

She was working two days a week this time. The show films multiple episodes each day. That makes it incredibly easy for Eileen to continue perhaps next year.

Please, she made fun of the giant hat she sported back in 2012 too. lol. That baby's iconic!

Ahhh, thank you for this Paddy :P :D

She looks AMAZING. Wow, those colors and that tan REALLY compliment her!

And I am SO glad she obviously had wanted the option to do a little Days here and there to be put into her contract. That means she isn't against to doing something small and that everything with Days has gone in a good way with her.

Wow. :P It will be so nice to see what is going to happen.

Well yeah, but that was all before she actually came back to the show. And after she did, she clearly said it was the "best year of her life with the best material".

Yeah, I have to say, I mean I get why she feels that Kristen is the type of character who has to "just keep on going and cannot sit around and drink coffee", but to be honest, they didn't need to write her that way. I mean, no scheming character schemes all year long. I mean, how could there be characters like Kate, Sami, Victor, Nicole, etc. if that were true. Those people sit down and have their coffees too at some point. They have to, otherwise it couldn't be possible to keep going. I mean, they could have just had her have the serene phase after the first blown up wedding.
